The Abbey of Sitria and the Holy Cross Monastery of Fonte Avellana, two age-old monasteries immersed into the nature of the Monte Catria and a rich historical heritage. The impressive summit of the Monte Catria and Balza Aquila stand next to the travelers path that joines the abbeys.
